Shoaib Akhtar Shoaib Akhtar (Spitzname: "Rawalpindi Express") (* 13. August 1975 in Rawalpindi, Punjab) ist ein pakistanischer Cricketspieler. Sein Test Debüt feierte er im November 1997 gegen die West Indies in seiner Heimatstadt Rawalpindi. Seinen bisher letzten Einsatz bei einem Test hatte er im Dezember 2007 gegen Indien in Bangalore. Akhtar wurde zudem bei 163 One-Day International Matches eingesetzt und nahm an drei Cricket Weltmeisterschaften teil (1999, 2003 und 2011). Akhtar wurde suspendiert und von seinem Verband für fünf Jahre gesperrt.
